A cargo ship and a container ship collided off the coast of Ahırkapı, Istanbul, whereas no lack of life, damage or environmental air pollution was reported, as confirmed by the Basic Directorate of Coastal Security Sunday.
The collision occurred throughout the Ahırkapı Zone and concerned vessels named “New Legend,” a 228-meter-long dry cargo ship; and the “Elbsun,” a 141-meter-long container ship.
Following an intensive inspection carried out by the KEGM-4 fast rescue group, no harm was reported.
Authorities are persevering with to observe the state of affairs to make sure the protection and integrity of the vessels concerned within the incident and the encircling surroundings.
