A cargo ship and a container ship collided off the coast of Ahırkapı, Istanbul, whereas no lack of life, damage or environmental air pollution was reported, as confirmed by the Basic Directorate of Coastal Security Sunday.
The collision occurred inside the Ahırkapı Zone and concerned vessels named New Legend, a 228-meter-long (748-foot-long) dry cargo ship, and the Elbsun, a 141-meter-long container ship.
Following a radical inspection performed by the KEGM-4 fast rescue staff, no harm was reported.
Authorities are persevering with to watch the state of affairs to make sure the security and integrity of the vessels concerned within the incident and the encompassing surroundings.
